This is like a signature stored on your computer. Whenever you want to access personal information or modify anything, you have to "log in" selecting this stored signature. Then the website knows it is really you who accesses the content and you can act.

Wouldn´t it be great to solve all bureaucratic issues directly from home whenever you have the time?

Without having to get an appointment, wait there, talk to an unfriendly civil servant and in the worst case going home without having solved the problem?

Or do you prefer someone else deals with the Spanish Administration on your behalf? 

In that case, you need to provide that representative with an authorization to act for you.

How to do that? Easy: select the authorization form, fill in the dates of your representative and sign it online with your digital signature.
